Memorial Weekend

We enjoyed a nice Memorial Weekend at home doing a lot of nothing. We do want to take a moment to thank those who have served or are currently serving in our Military. You are in our prayers every day!

This "long" weekend we enjoyed going to Hangover 2. It is funny, but I could have waited to see it when it came out on video. We grilled out tonight, I wish it wouldn't have been so windy.

I had big plans of things I wanted to get done today since the sun was shining, but since it was SO windy I decided to scrub my kitchen floor and watch the movie Dear John.

Wrigley has never really been a barker (I don't even know if that is a word). However, the last couple days I think he has enjoyed hearing himself. Today he was barking at the wind. Silly puppy!

BUT, while we were grilling he was going nuts barking a mean bark and finally Brent saw a snake snap at Wrigley. GROSS....Brent came inside to tell me I needed to take care of the snake...yah, nice try!
The snake Wrigley found
When I went to put the garden hoe away I noticed Wrigley's newest "treasure" I am about sick of his treasures!
Wrigley's newest chew toy..I'm not even sure what that animal once was
Here are a few pictures of Wrigley lately. He recently had a bath because up until yesterday he looked like a Gray lab. He has been playing in the creek and mud puddles lately. He was so dirty and smelled so bad Brent wouldn't even pet him.
If you look close you can see he is showing his teeth (smiling...angry..who knows)
Even caught his water dripping!

My cute little puppy! I was enjoying a photo shoot with him!

I am excited for a short week at work. I only work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday!! This coming weekend we have a wedding in Neola. I am excited to see friends we haven't seen in months!

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!

Jameson's Graduation

Last weekend we headed to Des Moines to help celebrate Jameson's college graduation. It was a lot of fun being back on Central's campus and seeing our family.

The "big" commencement took place on Saturday, but Jameson had one last track meet at Cornell so the boys and girls track teams had their own separate graduation on Sunday. It was very nice, they had a brunch for the family of the graduates, and it only took about 30-45 minutes.

After the ceremony, we headed back to my parents house in Norwalk where we had a nice late lunch and the rest of our family was able to come. The weather turned out being perfect! I can't believe my little brother is all grown up now and graduated from College!

This is my family that was at the ceremony. (and none of us planned on matching, but makes for a great picture)
Jack LOVES his Uncle Brent!
My beautiful sister Ashley and her husband Ryan
My Grandpa and Grandma Rosien
Jameson and his girlfriend Alex
My wonderful parents and little brother
Proud sisters:
My wonderful Husband and I with the College Grad!

This weekend I was able to help a friend from work tear down wallpaper and help paint. Her family is moving away from Avoca to Oakland (20 minutes) away. I forgot how much I enjoy painting, but how much I HATE tearing off wallpaper! But we enjoyed chatting and doing it!

Wrigley Turns 1

After a fun but busy Easter weekend we headed home to celebrate Wrigley's 1st birthday! He was so excited to see us when we got home, that when Brent opened the car door Wrigley jumped up on Brent's lap! It was pretty cute!

I really wanted to make Wrigley a birthday cake but since we were going to be in Des Moines for Easter and then Sunday evening at my in-laws house I decided we would stop at Diggity Dog in Valley Junction and pick him up a birthday treat and present!

This is Wrigley's Happy Birthday Cookie:
Wrigley got really excited when we opened up the cookie. I guess to a dog it smelled delicious!
Wrigley made a mess but he was really good at cleaning up the floor after himself. The cookie lasted less than a minute!

Brent showing Wrigley his birthday present. I took a video of him playing with it, but I can't figure out how to "rotate" my videos. Wrigley hits himself in the head with it when he whips it back and forth!

Wrigley enjoying his birthday chew toy! I bet this is torn to shreds soon!

I can't believe Wrigley is a year old, however, I am hoping that this next year goes fast so we can get out of the "puppy" chewing stages! We came outside last week and my garden hose was about 5-6 feet shorter. Someone thought he had a new chew toy...special dog :)

As I said in my last post, I will be starting a new job tomorrow! I am excited to start at the HyVee Pharmacy in Harlan! I will post later this week on how my first week went!
